Tom Underwood
More than two decades operating travel and hospitality technology companies: scaling them, fixing them, and selling them. At Bonafide he runs operations and brings the industry relationships.
Tom was SVP of Hotels at Orbitz Worldwide, where he grew the hotel business from roughly $1 billion to $2 billion in gross bookings, a run that helped set up Expedia's acquisition of the company. He later joined Lola.com as CFO on its founding executive team, helping raise more than $25 million in venture capital for what was then a reimagining of corporate travel. He was also CEO of Room 77 before taking the top job at StayNTouch, the cloud property-management platform building hotel technology in direct competition with Oracle Hospitality. Under his leadership, StayNTouch roughly doubled ARR inside twenty months, approaching $10 million.
Tom came to Bonafide because the problem sits exactly where he has spent his career. Hospitality is a category where brand misrepresentation costs real revenue. One incorrect check-in time on one model's answer can move a booking to a competitor. He has been the operator watching that loss get logged at a hotel P&L. He now runs the team that makes sure Bonafide customers never have to.
